Years after the release of his first body of work, Shayo Davids has taken his time to put together a masterpiece of a self titled EP, “Oluwasayo”. The project is not only guaranteed to have his fans vibing, but also showcases his growth as an artist through the years.
The first track is a proper introduction of who Shayo Davids is, what he represents and his experiences so far in life.
The second track is a collaboration with the biggest rapper in the country at the moment, PsychoYP.
The third track is a classic collaboration with the melodiously gifted artist, Frescool on a soothing and soul relaxing beat that was produced by Trimz and Lynzzz, two producers who played a major role in the production of the entire project.
The fourth track is a proclamation of how tough the music game and life is in general – “every lion has got to go through jungles” he says. The track features one of the most talented rappers Nigerian rap industry has ever heard, Jaido P who complements this timeless record with his ear grasping flows.
The fifth track is a guaranteed club banger. It is a track in collaboration with certified hitmaker, Hotkid.
The sixth track is the most most emotional song on the project where Shayo beats out all his insecurities, fears and joy, saying it all with no filter. It features Barry Jhay and poises to be a fans favorite.
The seventh track is the last but not the least as he tells us how God has been there for him all the way. It also helps us see through his lenses all the hopes for greatness he has for the future.
The listening party for Oluwasayo EP is set to hold on the 18th of August in Lekki Phase 1 and it promises to be a star studded event. Shayo Davids has also confirmed he will be doing a university tour for the EP , as well as a radio tour across the western parts of Nigeria.
An official video for the first track has been shot and he is currently making a video for the fifth track which features Hotkid.
Shayo Davids has been recording great music for a decade and has managed to build cult following of real people that listen to and love his music so much and he is not slowing down. Despite being independent, he raises the bar with every single release. This young man is extremely talented and hardworking and this project is going to introduce him to the whole world and the world honestly needs an artist like Oluwasayo Davids.
