Eyiaromi Daniel Adetokunbo professionally known as Romi is a singer, songwriter and Producer. He was born 8th of June 2001 in the city of Ìbàdàn, Oyo state. Romi created an excellent tune worthy of applause in his genre known as Afro-Color; which he expresses through the reflection of his dark times, Theme Romi Releases New Single “Mind” displays royalty. Happy days and bright moods in a blend of experiences.
He makes a formal entrance to the scene with ‘Mind’; a dance tune that emphasizes the depressing state he was in and some of the insecurities he has with family.
The song which was produced by Reward Beatz(Banga!) has a unique composition that showcases his pain, process and delivery. The recording engineering was done by Loudaaa.
He started making music as a rapper in primary school when he decided to jump on the classic Pon Pon Pon instrumental by DaGrin and Sossick back in 2010. As a 14-year-old, he left home against his dad’s wishes after facing a lot of struggles to find something to live for.
After participating in rap battles in Unilag and Yabatech where he schooled, he decided to make the switch from rapper to singer and has not looked back since. He has won several music competitions including the Jagermeister Save The Night competition and Techno music battle.
Romi describes his music genre known as Afro-Color; which he expresses through the reflection of his dark times, happy days, and bright moods in a blend of experiences. He attributes his love for music to his mom who has always been a lover of gospel music.
