Ghanaian singer & songwriter, Kayblez has just released a new record titled Run, and it’s expressed in harmonious sound and painted in intriguing visuals.
In Run, his new offering of musical art, Kayblez tells a folk story in his trademark light hearted, easy bending vocals of a love interest who has experienced abuse and is seeking succor in the refuge of her lover’s arms. In a quest to experience this love which serves as her safety net, she holds on to her lover despite oppositions from her own father who really isn’t trusting of her man of choice. Consequently, the story finds its conclusion in both lovers finding good companionship in the space they create for their love to grow.
Sonically, Run is a musical masterpiece that emits clarity in vocal texture, pitch ranges and an infallible attempt at hitting the right notes. The singer, Kayblez was sure enough to ride on every note of chord struck on the guitar which rides easily on sparsely spaced kicks. The record is a fine blend of fine instrumentation, vocal execution, and lyrical dexterity that can be traced back to the artist’s culture with his story being told in English and insertions of his mother tongue in-between. Also, the story he presents is given a chance to be understood visually as well with the accompanying music video he puts out along with the track.
ABOUT THE ARTISTE: KAYBLEZ
Kayblez is a highlife artiste who was born on 14th December in the Kumasi Ashanti Region Of Ghana. His real name is Bless Boateng. He had his earlier education from the central region where he attended Edumadze Junior High and Secondary education at Mankessim Secondary Technical Senior High respectively. Due to his love for creativity, he offered Visual Arts at MANSTECH. He loved music ever since he was a child and then started with his usual studio recording as a beginner at the age of 16 years.
In the year 2010, he was signed to one Big Label in Ghana known as Slip Music owned by Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey. In the year 2010, he officially came out with his first Album titled “Meda enda” which had other big artists like Okyeame Kwame, Ruth of mentor 1 fame, Chicken Chaucer, and others. He’s been inspired by several big Legends whom he does look up to and a few are Pat Thomas, The Late Obibini Takyi, Adomako Nyamekye, C-K Man, R.Kelly, and others. He works as a composer, arranger, and a very good performer as well. KayBlez has performed many shows across the Ten Regions in Ghana, and outside Ghana. He has been on the same stage with CK Man, Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, 2face idibia, Awilo, Okyeame Kwame, Shatta Wale, Guru, Efya, George Jahraa.
KayBlez returned with a very nice tune on 5th May 2017 titled Chocho Mucho which features Kofi Kinaata. This tune is a masterpiece of music, followed by other sensational singles like Galantee ft One Sim, Alla Alla ft ponobiom, Moonlight, Long story, Upgrade me. He is currently signed to a new record label known as Invicta Jam, rebrands from Bless to Kayblez, and out with another unique masterpiece of music titled Run.
