Nigerian music producer, singer-songwriter, and sound engineer, Verbb, marks his entrance into the recording artist arena with the launch of his debut EP titled “Palm Tree Paradise.” This collection of five tracks delves into his enduring sentiments and pure love, intricately refining his personal concepts within a realm of intimacy, yearning, and affection.

The EP navigates the spectrum of heartwarming emotions while also paying tribute to diverse perspectives of admiration and praise. “Palm Tree Paradise” not only builds upon the themes introduced in his earlier releases like “Deja Vu” and “Your Body,” but it also broadens the narrative canvas, drawing inspiration from the overarching ambiance of the entire project.
Verbb, whose birth name is Adeyinka Francis Awolola, grew up immersed in the sounds of iconic figures like Dr. Orlandoh Owoh, King Sunny Ade, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Don Moen, and several other artists. His early years were marked by a natural affinity for music, eventually leading him to cultivate his skills as a self-taught music producer. Making his foray into the music scene in 2013, Verbb swiftly garnered recognition with his work alongside notable artists such as Zlatan, Jamopyper, Mayorkun, Chinko Ekun, and more.
Reflecting on his journey, Verbb shared, “To be honest I really did not want to release any personal song of my own, I’ve been producing as a professional for over a 10 years now but I thought of how much impact my music can have in the society as a whole and of course I would love to live up to my fullest potentials that’s basically why I decided to take this path.”
Verbb’s musical expression is deeply rooted in genuine life encounters and occurrences, sometimes interwoven with fictional narratives. His genre, termed Afro-Velvety, harmoniously blends Afrobeats, African music, and profound emotional themes, exemplifying his dedication to leave an indelible mark.
“Palmtree Paradise,” featuring collaborations with Psyhics and Bliizzy, showcases Verbb’s dynamic talent, while the production credits go to Ghsbeatz, Lilgeebeatz, and Verbb himself. The EP is now available for streaming on digital music platforms, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in Verbb’s artistic journey.
