Teebee is a Canadian-based artist from Nigeria. Heavily laced with rhythmic drum patterns and powerful crowd vocals, “Kilometre” marks Teebee’s first solo offering of the year.
In the summer of 2019, he released his debut EP ”West African Love Story” and followed up with “African Groove” in 2020. Both EPs peaked at numbers 8 and 4 on the Apple Music world chart, also earning him a place in OkayAfrica’s “10 African Artists from Toronto to Watch” in 2020.
Teebee’s sound can be best described as Afro Fusion as he combines elements from different genres such as Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall and RnB.
His recent project “Dangerous” released late 2021 has earned him many good reviews as one of the top artists pushing the afrobeats culture in Canada.
The use of popular street lingo along with the vocal dexterity of the singer makes this song “Kilometre” stand out like a sore, hence, it comes as no surprise the reaction the performance of this song evoked during the just concluded Mural festival in Montreal, Canada.
