Review: Amira Would Rather Have a “Good Time” With Her Friends This Summer

Amira has recently released a single titled Good Time, and it is here just in time for ladies like herself who would rather hang out with friends for the summer.

With Good Time, Amira converses with a person, most likely a lover, about not wanting to be stressed by their consistency in inquisitions about her well-being; inquisitions which she finds unnecessarily pesky. For the most part of this song, the Algerian songstress communicates her need for beneficial relationships in English and French, reiterating her desire not to be either seen nor heard of by he/she whom she converses with. Alternatively, “I rather hang [out] with my girls lately”, she asserts.

Good Time is Amira’s second single and it sonically draws influences from Urban French music, American R&B and AfroBeats;  Good Time transcends beyond Amira’s main musical influences. It was written in collaboration with Fresh Records’ Fresh and is produced by James Oyewale, known by the alias DirtyBoy

It is Amira’s hope that Good Time resonates with listeners from all cultural backgrounds in this summer time.
